It helps with overthrows so yes it does help with more accurate drops as well. The 419 cup and platten help as well as the cup gets placed on the platten the same way every time. I was using it to throw varget for my AR and it was doing great. also used it for 8208 and AR comp which are similar if not smaller. and I've thrown a lot of H4350 which is a bit larger than varget. no issues. I could show you some of my chrono readings if you like.
