GAP 300 WM
Barrel is a Bartlein 1:11 twist (1100 rounds)
Timney Trigger
Barrel has 5/8-24 thread. Had a badger FTE brake but sold that so it will come with a thread protector.
I bought this last year in used condition with 1,000 rounds on it. Shot about 100 rounds with a load I threw together for crop damage. Successfully took 8 deer beyond 600 yards with this rifle so far. Planned to replace the barrel before really committing to load development.
Had rifle bore scoped by my smith and did note fire cracking in the barrel. Although he did say there was life left in the throat but whole barrel needs to go when it’s time due to the firecracking.
However I have another 300 WM that has run circles around my other guns in the past couple weeks, including my AI. So I’m dedicating the optics from this gun to that one and just sticking with that platform for LR hunting instead of investing more money into this rifle.
PLEASE READ:
This rifle has a Sako extractor. After getting the bolt back from fluting/cerakoting at LRI the rifle would not eject casings. It simply extracts them and releases them before ejecting from the gun. I’ve only fired about 30 rounds in this condition and my gunsmith looked at it and stated we need to mill the bolt face back a bit to make it function correctly. I planned to do this when I rebarrelled next winter but as it currently sits only sometimes does the rifle actually throw the casing from the chamber. I will be happy to text a video of this to buyer if requested. This is with RWS brass.
Want to sell or trade entire rifle at current time. If I do not sell I will keep and proceed with the barrel etc next winter.
Any questions feel free to pm me. If you send your phone number I’ll be happy to send pics or video etc of requested items
