Solids for Mag Fed .338 LM,

i have had good luck with the 285 ELD (2860 fps in my rifle)

However looking for "more".

I am looking for a solid with a higher BC than the 285 ELD that can stabilize in a 9.3 twist tube and also be magazine fed.

i may be able to push a 275 to 2900 FPS.

The end goal is steel at 2500 yards.

Any recommendations?

Cutting edge makes a 275 with a G7 of .415. How much scope elevation do you have to work with?

2500 for a Lapua is a stretch, mag fed is going to be a lot harder.

I have 19.5 mils in the scope and another 10 in the reticle. Its just barely enough. At 2k i am .5 mills into the reticle. Its a Bushnell XRS.

Those might be your best bet at mag length, the next step up would be the warner 285’s but they will likely be outside of mag length and even those might need more adjustment then you have available.
I think the only 338 flat enough to reach 2500 with out crazy scope tech would be the 33XC

Agreed. I dont think a 338 LM AI has enough case capacity to push the 275s fast enough to keep them supersonic....but it would be fun to try once this barrel is smoked.

I have hit's with my 338lm at 2616 yards on a 40 inch plate but i think that is pushing pretty hard. I am shooting the 300 Berger's which for me work better then the 285 ELD-M or the Cutting Edge 277's over 2000 yards.
