Range Report some 300 WSM chrono data to share

Some chrono data for a few 300 WSM loads I tested. Not scientific because they were shot over two range trips but you get the general idea. Lots more RL15 didn't give me lots of velocity, but going with the Barnes bullets seems to give a huge velocity boost.

Lapua needs to get off their butt and make some WSM brass, this Remington stuff is pretty random (weight, neck thickness, length, etc).

All were factory length.

Not yet, the only other brass I picked up was a few boxes of the Nosler. I've had good luck with that in 308 and Midway had it on sale a while back which helps.

Curious why '15 in a WSM. I'd be looking at '19, '22, H4350, or H4831sc.

I used Norma brass, 65grs of H-4831, 210gr Bergers at 2830fps. One of the most accurate rifles I`ve ever shot out to 1 mile.

I use Reloader 17 in mine and get phenomenal accuracy. With it, I can get 2950-3000fps with 200gr. LRX rounds without pressure signs, Norma brass has been the best for me in the 300WSM.

Couple of load manuals say the loads with the R15 were the most accurate so I started there. Obviously it's not the fastest...

I'm working on a load for my 300WSM now and am very curious if anyone else has already done some of my work for me and tested 168 Moly Nosler Ballistic Silvertip bullets with CCI primers and RL-17?

I'll be watching this thread so I can easily check for any new info.
