    Next time I’m humping steel plates 500 or 600 yards It won’t be with them cradled in my arms. I’ll have T post, post hammer, plates and spray paint all neatly contained.

    Pack shelf…….even a pop up little gadget to provide a place to sling my rifle….

    Over the years I have humped a lot of elk quarters on a frame just like that. LOL
    The idea of it makes me think it’s a load bearing mother but it looks like the straps would be a weakness.

    Needs some means to transfer the weight to the wearers hips.

    Be a good “flat bed” though for walking the 500 or so yards on my friends property without ruining a soft pack.

    My buddy has a SXS up there but he has impeccable timing to show up just after the last post and target has been set.

    You are correct, those packboards can kick you in the shoulder/upper back. I never did have any problems with the straps.
