Re: Some West Tennessee Kills

Are you sure you dont need some company? Awesome deers you got there. Man, I havent even seen a deer around my parts. Hopefully I have better luck 2nd season.

Re: Some West Tennessee Kills

My son who is 14 and I are new to deer huntin. I think we need some seasoned hunters to show us the ropes cause Im gettin frustrated seeing tracks all over my 80 acres and no deer to match them with.

Re: Some West Tennessee Kills

BDH...Take a two acre spot of ground next to some good cover and plant field corn. We bushhog one strip out of it every two weeks and it lasts all season. It will pull deer from miles away....If you have food....They will come ....

I saw 22 does, a 7 pt and a spike saturday evening at one such plot and another one mile away my son saw 16 does and 4 bucks but no shooters....Trust me on this one...its worked for years.

Re: Some West Tennessee Kills

Thanks for the tip. The land I got is leased and there was corn planted. The farmer came and burnt down the field corn after he had cut it and planted winter wheat. Next yr Ill be a little more prepared. After this season I will start to prepare early for next yr.

I have been seriously considering moving to TN for various reasons. You keep posting pictures like that and I may soon be your neighbor. Those are some NICE deer my friend.
