Interesting read here, especially for those of you of faith. You can start reading on page 7 since the article at the beginning is unrelated; it's ~50 pages long and it's a pretty easy to get through. Don't know how or why it ended up in CIA's archives, but I don't believe the text is available anywhere else.

Mainstream science tells us that even though humans as a species have existed for the better part of 200,000 years, humans only settled down and created "civilization" ~10,000 years ago. Historians can't explain why every ancient civilization has the same story about a global flood. Geologists can't explain certain, not-so-ancient land formations came to be by any other method than massive waves washing over the land. This book lays out a theory as to why we don't have more evidence of civilization before 10,000 years ago, or, maybe we've just misinterpreted the evidence we do have. There's definitely some thought-provoking stuff in there.

Personally, I think it's more likely some global cataclysm wiped out evidence of prior civilizations than it is that civilization sprang from nothing 10,000 years ago.

That's a whole lot of supposing. The lack of actual citations or that it is not a peer reviewed article puts the nail in the coffin for me.

As a believer, I know that my mental image/interpretation of what happened is way off. Trying to connect the dots is great, but there was a whole lot less direct interpretation of the scripture in that read than I am used to.

I have watched the late Chuck Missler's study of Noah (search on YouTube) several times. Chuck did a whole lot of research in ancient Greek and Hebrew texts, and translated a lot of words over to modern English. It certainly contrasts a lot to modern teachings. Where i lose Chuck is when he started to try to predict the end of times.

Humans are a species that worships amnesia...

"Official Science" is pretty much as much of a cult as ever, and anybody who dares challenge the "official" story gets crushed.
Various geologists and such have tried to bring up that things may have happened very differently than the textbooks tell you and they get run out of the club almost immediately.
Just look at the details that are finally being acknowledged from Göbekli Tepe after first being decried as a fraud.

Modern humans don't want to contemplate the possibility that human evolution may have reached great heights in long past eras and been busted back down to struggling to stay alive, by forces out of the control of humans, because that might mean it happens again.

They especially don't want to hear that these changes may have happened suddenly as in within days rather than over millions of years.

When the Earth Nearly Died - Compelling Evidence of a Catastrophic World Change 9,500 BC by DS Allan & JB Delair

Good read with tons of references. At times I think they try to push their conclusions too far but the evidence is there. Most likely a comet strike in the polar regions.
