Called up this female after only 15 min. My first this year and the first I've ever called in. Shot was about 75 yrds with Hornady Vmax 55g between the eyes...made a mess out the back dead in tracks.

For the Hogs, the preferred call is the Ned Beatty purty-mouth special! Nice shootin' RD. Keep it up.

Check out the SCDNR website and look under wildlife and coyotes...they have a line on there about how they never introduced coyotes and they will continue to prosocute those who brought them here. LMAO

Re: South Carolina Coyote

Very cool pictures, guys. I've been wondering about getting into feral hog hunting (so I can use my AR15/Eotech) since the NC regs have been updated to say that there's no off-season for them now. Not sure how to tell the difference between a wild boar and a feral hog though...

It would be nice to have some bacon and fatback from a wild pig. Anyone know how that comes out?

Re: South Carolina Coyote

A "Feral Pig" is a farmers ex-stock, i.e. a pig that escaped a farm. A Wild Boar would be a natrually found Male Hog in it's intended enviroment. From what I undertand hogs were brought here by europeans back in the Chris Colombus days therefore all the pigs/hogs you see are by default feral and not to mention destructive and multiplying by the truckload. As for telling the difference; Apparently a big white farm pig will, after escaping Farmer Brown, quickly revert back to it's original form. Within weeks of becoming "feral" the hog will grow longer, more dense hair and dig up land, search for a mate, and basically slop-up the place as pigs do.
