***There will also be the option of purchasing a stage mulligan for $10 prior to the match, max of 1 per shooter...if you mess up a stage and want to reshoot, use your mulligan. YOU WILL KEEP THE SCORE OF YOUR MULLIGAN RUN. Nonrefundable so use it or lose it. No mulligan allowed on the blind stage as that defeats the purpose of a blind stage.
Shooters will be provided a match book with stage desciptions and layout.
TOTAL ROUND COUNT will be 70-80 rounds...
.30 cal magnums and below, 3200 fps speed limit
Below is the final match and stage descriptions. Something may change on match day due to unforeseen issues, but we'll handle it on the fly and keep it as close to this as possible.
NOTE: Shooter will travel about the range MAG OUT/INTERNAL BOX UNLOADED and BOLT BACK. ALL STAGES WILL START port arms, mag inserted/box loaded, bolt back. On any movement between positions, shooter will leave the bolt back until in position AND sights are on target.
Stage 1: Mini Troops – 2 minutes, 9 total rounds
Upon start shooter will assume the prone position and engage targets Right to Left, starting with target 1 @ 950 yds with 3 rounds. Shooter will transition to target #2 @ 983 yds and engage with 3 rounds. Shooter will then transition to target #3 @ 936 yds and engage with the 3 remaining rounds.
Stage 2: Out and Back – 2 minutes, 9 total rounds
Upon start shooter will assume a prone position and engage targets 1, 2, & 3…in that order with 1 shot each. 3 times, for a total of 9 rounds.
Target 1: 375 yds
Target 2: 520 yds
Target 3: 655 yds
Stage 3: Battle of Emu Hill – 2 minutes, 10 total rounds
Upon start shooter will assume a position on the stack of wood. Rifle/Pack/bag/etc MUST be supported on the stack of wood. Shooter will engage target #1 @ 375 yds, in the clearing on the ridge with 5 rounds. Shooter will then transition to the marked tree limb and engage target #2 @ 336 yds with the 5 remaining rounds.
Stage 4: Tree limbs – 2 minutes, 6 total rounds
Upon start shooter will find a position on the right or left tree limb. If shooting from the right limb, it is a RIGHT shoulder shot. If shooting from the left limb, it is a LEFT shoulder shot. Shooter will engage the 3 targets from near-to-far with 1 round each from the chosen limb. Shooter will then transition to the opposite limb (and shoulder) and again engage the targets from near-to-far with 1 round each.
Target 1: 250 yds
Target 2: 330 yds
Target 3: 396 yds
Stage 5: Hit to move from the fence – 2 minutes, 10 total rounds
Upon start shooter will assume a position on the fencing panels, SHOOTERS CHOICE, but rifle must be through the fencing. Shooter will engage target #1 @ 400 yds. Shooter MUST HIT IN ORDER TO MOVE TO TARGET #2. Shooter will move to target #2 @ 455 yds. Again, must hit to move on. Shooter will then transition to target #3 @ 510 yds and finish their remaining rounds for additional points for 10 pts total if clean.
Stage 6: Open Field – 2 minutes, 8 total rounds
Upon start shooter will assume the prone position and engage the 4 targets from left to right, with 1 round each, hit or miss, move on. Shooter will then shoot the targets from right to left, with 1 round each, hit or miss for a total of 8 rounds.
Target 1: 430 yds (left)
Target 2: 402 yds (middle left)
Target 3: 402 yds (middle right)
Target 4: 378 yds (right)
Stage 7: Rocking Out – 2 minutes, 8 total rounds
Upon start shooter will assume a position on the right rock and engage target (between the deer blinds) @ 346 yds with 4 rounds. Shooter will then transition to the left rock, and engage the same target with the 4 remaining rounds.
Stage 8: Protect this House – 2 minutes, 8 total rounds
Upon start shooter will assume a prone position and engage the 4 targets from near to far with 2 rounds each. You may not be able to see all 4 targets from 1 position depending rifle configuration and exactly where you set up…figure it out
Target 1: 389 yds (center, near bush)
Target 2: 444 yds (far right)
Target 3: 585 yds (center back, under trees )
Target 4: 591 yds (far left)
Stage 9: Blind draw Behind the House – 2 minutes, 8 total rounds
Upon start shooter will find a position around the tree locate/range (laser range finders will be provided)/dope and engage 2 targets with 4 rounds each. They’ll be in a field…to the right of the deer blinds and left of the bunch of trees.
