Member Link Up Southeast Texas Ranges? ... Beaumont Area

Im going to be in the Beaumont area this comming weekend (9/26 & 27). Im wondering if there are any public ranges in the area that may be open on Sunday. Maybe even southwest Louisiana. Looking for something to kill the time Sunday.

I know this is too late for the OP, but if anyone from southeast Texas is on here, let me know.

The only rifle ranges I have found in the area are:

Golden Triangle Gun Club, 600yds (private)- Beaumont, TX
Orange Gun Club, 300yds (private)- Orange, TX
Evans Bros. Guns, 300yds (public)- Huntington, TX
Ft. Polk range, 600yds (public)- Leesville, LA

If anyone shoots at these regularly or knows of any others, please let me know. I'm having to drive at least an hour to shoot right now.

Thanks for the response. Actually i just got back from Beaumont / Lumberton last night. I will be making trips there once a month or so untill i'm able to relocate. I'll have to check into some of these that you have listed. Even if i have to join a private club, it still may be worth it. Thanks again bigjohn !

I'm about 45 minutes from Lumberton, and another 30 minutes to GTGC. There are some public pistol ranges in the area, but GTGC will be the closest range to you. PM me next time you are in the area and have some time, and we'll get together. I might have just secured a piece of private property to shoot that will allow me to stretch out past 1000 yds.
