I ordered about $300.00 for 175 grain 308 cartridges from Southwest Ammo. They immediately took the money from my account but...

It's been almost 6 weeks and I haven't heard a thing from them. I tried calling, I tried Email...I guess I could send them a snail-mail letter; maybe they would respond to that.

My last order of 308 took about 5 weeks and the order was placed back in November so you can only imagine how busy they are now. I am surprised that you have been unable to get a hold of them, they are usually pretty responsive. There are a few threads here on the Hide that they monitor frequently. If you still can't get any responses via PM you might post on one of those threads.
 
I think they are good guys that can be a bit unorganized at times. Given the crazy demand right now, I'm sure things are hectic.

I've had some delays and lack of comms in the past. I've found a direct email stating your case and your frustration usually gets a response.
 
It's common for business not to respond to e-mails...don't sweat it. It's not like they have someone waiting on the computer to send out messages...everyone is busy loading and filling orders. I don't know why you can't reach someone...I've called there several times without any issue. Sure, the line was busy or maybe it rang a dozen times...maybe someone was on break, short staffed, on the phone with someone else. But, I simply called back later that day or the next day and reached someone.

So, you're probably thinking of calling tomorrow...they'll probably be swamped, so connection will be difficult. Tuesday or Wednesday is a better choice...

Also, remember they're MST so that may change times you should call.


one thing you'll need to remember is that everyone is having problems getting components which adds to the delay...Which make did you get? When I spoke to Christie, I think that's her name, she said they were delayed on Lapua brass, maybe SMK's.

I just got my order last Friday, after a wait similar to yours...my delay was due to powder.

I tried calling at all different hours of the day. All I've ever gotten is a voice mail. I left a few messages but I've called at least 2 dozen times. I've sent three long Emails expressing my displeasure with them debiting my account before they shipped the ammo out. I got a split order; 175 SMKs and 175 OTH.
 
They've posted in other threads that they've recently moved to a new CC processing that no longer charges at the time of order and they can now hold off until they ship. However, it's the way their business was run until just recently. They're a fairly new company that's experienced growing pains, but their ammo shoots great.

Try a PM to them, that's how I have always gotten a hold of them in the past. They're hard to reach sometimes, but they are always more than fair when there's a problem.

I'd rather be charged now and know that I have a place in line than wait a few weeks. If I have to wait, I might as well spend a little time looking for another source.

You've called a couple dozen times? Sounds like you just have bad luck....the most I've called is maybe half dozen.


So, are you saying you have your order now?
