Space Junk

Posted this as I find this to be a little alarming. Maybe being somewhat naive on the topic, I had thought everything launched into orbit was supposed to fully burn up upon re-entry. That is the only way I am OK with all the crap they position above my head and assume it is the same for most others.

This likely being a chunk of a failed space-x booster. Whatever it was, it was not high enough to burn up.

Check out the phone app "SkyView"

There is an incredible amount of crap in orbit. Look for "rocket body" in the search function. It tells you who launched it and what year.
