The sixth unmanned test flight of the SpaceX ultimate single-unit superheavy hauler Starship thundered into the sky from SpaceX's main facility and vehicle assembly center at Starbase. The unit's 33 liquid fueled Raptor engines all performed successfully carrying the interplanetary-capable space bus 150 miles into orbit. President Donald Trump, wearing a bright red MAGA cap and Elon Musk in his signature matte black SpaceX T-shirt attended the epic event.

ETA: BREAKING: SpaceX Dragon orbital minishuttle just lifted off from Cape Canaveral in Florida to retrieve the two ISS astronauts who had been stranded since August:

    Thought they were already home.

They were supposed to return to the surface after a few weeks but the Boeing Starliner shuttle that was to take them back developed a leak. The Starliner returned without them. NASA's original prediction was that they would not be retrieved until February 2025 and they are to stay aboard the ISS and resupplied on a regular schedule. The previous week's stream from the ISS showed that Sunita Williams was becoming gaunt and frail and her partner Butch Wilmore looked extremely fatigued, like a miner who had been trapped in a cave-in for a prolonged time and concerns mounted for their wellbeing. The SpaceX Dragon was launched around the same time as the Starship 6 flight and the Dragon is supposed to rendezvouz with the ISS any moment now, match speeds, and dock with it's main airlock. There are 2 SpaceX astronauts on board the Dragon.

UPDATE: DRAGON has docked with the ISS and has completed air pressure equalization between the two vessels. It's NASA's call now. The Dragon is built for a crew of 4 and two seats on board are reserved for Williams and Wilmore. They can depart as soon as the next rotation/window to Canaveral or Starbase opens.

And all these costs should be billed to Boeing.....

... And suggest to them that they should take back all the pay from their useless DEI employees and programs to pay for costs of the Dragon mission. That is how professional level trolling is done.
