All you need is a $90 barrel vice and a Tikka inside action wrench and you can switch back and forth between the 20” and 24” barrel at will. The 20” barrel has been loosened from the factory by me and torqued back on at 75 ft lbs so you do not need to worry about removing a stubborn factory installed barrel.

20” barrel has 450 rounds through it
24” stainless has r 850 through it.
I am the only person to put any rounds down range through both these barrels. The round stated will be pretty damn close.

Yes sir. Tikka actions are machined to extremely tight tolerances. Many gunsmiths offer shouldered prefits for them. The 24” barrel has been checked with a no go gauge by me on this action. If you are a buyer and would like to see it for yourself, I can video it. Money in hand before I go through the troubles though. I assure you it’s good to go.

Nice rifle! Purely out of curiosity, how does the stamping on the barrel line up on the barrel that was not fitted from the factory? I swapped a 7 mag and 300 mag barrel and the one is completely upside down. It headspaces fine, I am just looking for another data point..

I don’t remember exactly with this one, but what you described is normal. I sold a .308 tikka barrel that was used on another action and it did what you described.

You cant see the stamps when you are using the rifle. Rifles are meant to be used. ?

I have had interest but no takers yet.
This would be a nice switch barrel setup for somebody. Better yet is that both barrels are guaranteed shooters.
