Seeking help/suggestions for purchasing either a Spikes lower or DPMS lower to my Tactical Solutions AR-22 upper. Is one more suitable to the TS upper than the other? Needs to have a rounded hammer and prefer a trigger less than 5 lbs.

Well I am not an expert but lately I have been hearing bad things about DPMS' finished results and have been hearing awesome reviews of spikes! Also, Spikes is always sold out, has to account for something! :p

Pick the roll mark you like the most. And I would not count on a 5lb trigger pull with a stock trigger. You might have to futz around with a Spike's Battle Trigger (NiB coated) and some JP springs. I don't know if Geissele triggers will work with .22 uppers.

Between the two, I don't think there is going to be a major difference in Lowers. Ultimately going to depend on what parts kit you buy, unless you get a whole lower.

I went with the Spikes complete lower w/M4 adjustable stock. Good match with the Tac-Sol AR-22 SBX. Fired a 10 round, 25 round mag, and 50 round drum of CCI Blazers with no issues. 95 degrees/60% humidity. Very satisfied with the Spikes lower.

I have a Rock River Arms Predator Pursuit. I wanted to dedicate a new lower to the Tac-Sol AR22 upper so not to have to change between both uppers. The Spikes lower is working out great.

I have owned 2 Spikes lowers and a more expensive Cmmg lower and they both felt like they where made at the same place to me. I ran .22 uppers on both with no hickups. You can get some cheap Spikes Blem Lowers here www.aimsurplus.com and good luck on finding the so called "BLEM".

Also on the trigger. I have had great luck with the Spikes NB Coated trigger and JP Springs with the set screw trick to take up the creap. Good Luck
