The conventional wisdom on spin drift is that the bullet will move sideways in the direction of bullet rotation because it "precesses" like a gyroscope. However that would seem to mean the bullet has to "defy gravity" to do so. Why doesn't "spin drift" simply spin the bullet STRAIGHT DOWN since gravity is already PULLING IT THAT WAY?

Hi,

Maybe this reply looks familiar to you and you could use it for what you are seeking....

It also wasn't a suggestion to use the internet and the almost endless amount of information and knowledge that exists on it to educate yourself instead of asking others to provide you with "answers".

Sincerely,
Theis

There have recently been threads discussing this, so no need to start another one just to get your 100 posts in. Here's the answer to your question in this Resource article posted by @THEIS: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/resources/calculating-yaw-of-repose-and-spin-drift.9/

It discusses and works out the math for you.

If, on the other hand, you were just looking to start another shit show as is hinted at by your title punctuation, then maybe you should just take it to the Bear Pit and save us all some trouble. ;)
