THIS IS A LOW NUMBER 1903. If you do not know what that means, please look it up. That aside it is in good shape. I suspect it has been rebarreled, and has Williams sights. Side of receiver is drilled and tapped. Serial number of rifle is 399844, serial number on bolt is 345176. I have never shot it, so can not say how accurate it is. Barrel looks clean with strong rifling. I do not see a groove between barrel and receiver, it seems it is either welded or soldered on, but I am not a 1903 expert in any sense. It is a used rifle and about a 100 year old gun, so I can not guarantee the safety of this gun so please have a gunsmith inspect it.
