We will be holding the Spring TAG Law Enforcement Precision Marksman Observer Course at the Big Piney Sportsmans Club near Houston Missouri on 12 thru 16 May 2010. This is a 40+ Hour Class, It has a POST Control Number, and is good for 40 Hours of POST Law Enforcement Training. It catches EVERYTHING but your Racial Profiling Hours in Missouri for your 3 year POST Training Cycle.
I would rate the Class as Sniper 1.5. It is well beyond normal Sniper 1 but not a Sniper II Class.
I am the Range Liason and Class Support person. I have helped with every class since we started the Course. The Course gets better each year. Our Primary Instructor keeps up with his training and trends. He is in the Law Enforcement training business as his daily job, as well as being a Law Enforcement Sniper. He was a Military Sniper before that. Our other Instructor has been a Military Sniper, and a Law Enforcement Sniper, as well as an Instructor.
The cost of the class is still $300. It requires a minimum of 300 rounds of precision rifle ammo. Also bring 50 rounds for you handgun and carbine. Training will be held rain or shine so come prepaired.
This class has been held Spring and Fall for several years now with lots of agencies sending all new SWAT Snipers as well as refresher courses for ones who have came before. We have one SWAT officer who has been through 3 classes over the years. That should tell you something about the Value & Quality of the Class.

Most shooting day 1 thru day 4 will be under 200 yards.
We normally will do a Night Fire Exercise.
We normally construct an Urban Hide.
We normally do a Stalk and Observe Exercise.
Day 5 will be held on a Long Range Match Day so the student will be exposed to more equipment and non-Law Enforcement shooters. You will fire from 100 thru 800 yards on day 5.
The May Class will shoot a Multi Range F Class Match.
The FALL CLASS held 20 thru 24 October will shoot a Sniper Match.
