Just wondering if anyone out there has tried a Spuhr AI dovetail mount as a direct fit on their Sako Quad.

I'm currently running DIP 20MOA rails and Burris Signature Zee rings with offset inserts for additional cant on both of my Quads with SWFA 5-20HD scopes. This setup leaves me with about 25 mils of up elevation left which is enough to get my .22LR Quad out to about 440Y without using reticle holdovers. I don't shoot it that far often but it is fun to do occasionally at the 400M silhouettes at my local range.

I have a stupid idea of switching to Bushnell ERS or XRS scopes on my Quads and I've heard the factory AI mounts will fit the Quad dovetail-- so I was wondering if a Spuhr 44.4 MOA 34mm AI mount would also fit on the Quad. I have a hunch it will but if someone out there has tried it or has all the parts on hand and can mock it up I'd appreciate the confirmation.

I realize it's total overkill but thought I'd ask anyways. :)

Adam, thanks for confirming the AI Spuhr will fit the Quad.

Now I need to decide if it's worth the cost of upgrading... The SWFA scopes do a fine job but I do prefer the G2DMR reticle in the Bushnells. I may just stick with the SWFA's and have Murphy Precision make me a custom 50MOA rail for my Quad in .22LR-- the math says that should leave about 3 mils down / 29 mils up from a 50Y zero.
