There is some wear on the anodizing next to a few of the ring screws (see red arrows) and also some on the underside of the rail clamp from flying brass (see red arrows). I thought the general consensus is a public “I’ll take it” trumps PM’s?

I always thought an “I’ll take it” is an “I’ll take it” no matter how the message gets to me. Maybe a moderator could weigh in on this. I would definitely like to know if I am not conducting EE transactions in the best way possible for all parties involved. Always open to suggestions and feedback and have no problem with changing the way I am doing things if there is a better way.

Nothing trumps anything at all. Absolutely nothing in the rules about this.

Buyer and seller can decline a sale for any reason. Which means a seller could pick the 5th “I’ll take it” if he so chooses.

Obviously it’s good etiquette to sell to whoever wants it first (as long as no red flags).

But there’s zero value in trying to say a guy that posts a public “I’ll take it” five minutes after someone sent a PM. Being public isn’t some sort of magic bullet.


In short, if it’s not in the written rules, don’t assume something.
