just got my scope and had it in my room and went out of town for a couple days. picked it up and did some bird watching and i accidentally left the damn thing on and the reticle was still glowing strong a little over 48 hours later.
so, that answered my question about whether it has an automatic shut off or not.
im not concerned about the battery because they are pretty cheap.
i was just wondering if the illumination can ever burn out from extended use? i can see me leaving the thing on for long periods...or have it in my bag an be accidentally turned on from rubbing the case.
i just wasnt sure what or how the light was actually produced and if it is ever something that would go out light a light bulb or something.
