Re: SSAR-15 Stock
chega, this is an internet forum where anything posted is subject to any and all 51k+ members' opinions. This isn't the PC happy-happy-joy-joy world where the golden rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all" prevails. Jealous that they're making money off a product? Not in the least little bit.
As for the stock, it is my opinion that anyone who takes shooting and shot placement seriously would never have a want or need for such an implement. You hit the nail on the head where you called it a novelty item. The problem is that such types of novelties, in the wrong hands, make for ranges getting shut down or further tightening its rules, local ordinances restricting shooting even further, and more fodder for the gun grabbers. It only takes one jackass having rounds leaving their already shoddy impact berm to screw it up for the rest of us.
Remember this is Sniper's Hide - For the SERIOUS tactical marksman.... Not for the novelty weekend superhero showing off his bump fire techniques. We actually care about shot placement and are on a lifelong endeavor to achieve the pinnacle in marksmanship. We leave the crap firing technique discussions to the other sites.
It's legal to walk around town in a thin spandex suit, but it doesn't make it right. Same applies here.
Finally, rapid/full auto fire is for suppression of an enemy target, and really comes in handy during a flanking assault. That's what machine guns are for. But it isn't the base of fire that takes the objective, it's the rifleman on semi using ammo conservation and effective shot placement that does. I have full auto on my rifle and have never even used it when I actually needed to use my rifle. Why? Ammo is valuable and you never know when you'll need it all.
Cheers and good day.
