Has anyone tried StaBall 6.5 in a 22 creed??? Suggestions on a starting load with 80 eld-m?
Decided to throw a 1-8tw Benchmark on an extra 700 action that i had laying around. Buffalo Creek Precision should have it chambered soon. Going to be loading some 80gr eld-m's into Gunwerks brass. I had planned on working with H-1000 and RL26. I was picking up some H4350, as a just-in-case, when someone smarter than me kicked around the idea of trying StaBall 6.5. Dude is a former Gunwerks shooter, and a much more experienced reloader than I. It did not sound like a bad idea to me.... since it adds some zip to the rest of the Creedmoors.
This will be my first foray into experimental loading with a non-SAAMI cartridge. (Once I get the 80 eld-m dialed, I'll really be in virgin waters with some 73gr Hammer Hunters). I figure the more experienced experimenters can offer some sage wisdom.
