Looking for a top of the line and accurate handgun to possible conceal and use for home defense and have as a truck gun. I was at my local scheels and saw the Staccato C2 Duo and was extremely impressed with the feel of the gun, the trigger, the look, the fact it’s a double stack mag.
Did a little research and watched some videos on the gun and it looks to be a damn fine piece but I am curious, does anyone here have one that they conceal or even own? How do you like it. Would you recommend it to a friend who had 2k to blow on a pistol? I do not have a pistol currently so this will be my do it all pistol.
Just looking for thoughts on this pistol.
I’ve yet to own a 2011, however I do have one ordered. Really looking forward to running it hard on range sessions and ringing steel and punching paper. It will also be my first dot gun. I’ll have to spend the time in getting acclimated to the RMR optic.
For double stack carry I’ve been using a WC EDC X9 for the past few months.
Carries about like a commander with standard width grips.
100% reliable.
Runs like a top....effortlessly recovers sight picture.
Went with their long flat trigger and it’s seriously making me want to go with flatties on all my guns.
I didn’t opt for the optic...just their fixed sights which suit me well. Gold bead front, but can swap out to fiber optic in less than five minutes....no kidding.
It is an alloy frame, but the gun has their iron clad lifetime warranty and WC has an excellent reputation for standing behind their products.
I’ve yet to run across a Staccato in a store to get a feel for them.
Honestly, they have hit the market so quickly it’s almost been a headspinner trying to follow the developments with STI.....now Staccato. Went from accurate & solid 1911’s to 2011 race guns-gamer guns.....to 2011 duty & carry guns in a very, very quick timeframe. Hard to imagine a company being able to switch gears so fast and achieve excellent results.
I’m hoping a buddy will buy one so I can get some run time with it.
I have zero experience with Staccato.
I hope they are solid.....and hope they have their customer service nailed down.....but I simply don’t know.....and was a bit cautious of making that investment without some hands on experience.
