Stainless or chrome moly?

Neither is more accurate than the other.

Longevity? I've heard from Molly tends to last longer but I don't think it's anything significant. If longevity is a concern if yours then don't get it chambered in something that each throats quickly.

Thanks for the link, excellent read. I have had two stainless barrels, one on a 7x57 that has given nothing but excellent service. I used it long ago for metallic silhouette and put a lot of rounds through it then I shortened the barrel and used it for hunting. In the beginning it was a tackdriver now it shoots 1.5 inch groups. Without question this barrel has more than 3000 rounds through it, possibly a lot more. The other a 7MM Remington magnum, that barrel never shot well and I traded it off shortly.
