Fieldcraft Stalk grass??

Re: Stalk grass??

stalkgrass is more durable and has a higher tensile strength than rafia. keep in mind that there is enough stalkgrass provided in the package for 3 full suits.

to each there own, but they are not the same product.

Re: Stalk grass??

love to use nat veg for the most part, but stalkgrass has a specific purpose. it is a supplementary type garnish. tactical concealment is very selective when it comes to what is sold on the site. anyone who thinks we would just sell crap fibers that you could find in a local craft store, obviously doesn't understand what we are all about.

if you've ever tried stuffing blades of grass into your ghillie before, you probably noticed that it is a pain in the ass. It is time consuming and a lot of it will either fall out or break off. Plus, it's going to dry up and shrivel pretty quick.

if you are typically always in a consistently grassy ao, why would you keep applying fresh grass to your suit every time you go out, when you can have a permanent natural solution?

stalkgrass is very popular with our customers who operate in arid environments. its great for tundra, grasslands or any open field setting. it is lightweight, durable and water resistant. i get a lot of guys from northern europe and asia that absolutely love this stuff.

its also a big hit for those in wetlands, especially down south. this stuff can be dyed up and tied together to look like clumps of marsh grass. its a nice alternative when you want to keep heat and water retention to a minimum.

jute alone, is not always the answer for natural garnishment. stalkgrass is one of our products that helps fill that void.

Re: Stalk grass??

Zac,

I was not trying to bust on your products.

I saw the stalk grass on your website and it looked alot like the stuff my mom used to make halloween decorations.

Thanks for clearing this up.
