Can anyone recommend a book or two that is geared towards a new hand loader? Something that covers steps of the process as well as equipment? Looking for something in print I can read on my down time so I am not staring at a computer screen for hours on end.

Either The ABC's of Reloading or the Lyman #49 are great at walking the new reloader through each process and explaining the how/why of each step. Better yet, get both as the Lyman manual is chock full of load data as well.
Any used reloading book off e-bay would work. Most all have a basic reloading section at the start of the book (except possibly Sierra). But a couple used reloading books is a good place to start because most loads never go out of "style".

ABC's is a great book, but don't discount the internet. When I started YouTube videos were also a great resource, and for me were easier to follow. I did read lots of manuals including Lyman's and ABC's, but internet videos were very helpful as well.
2nd this. I had not reloaded in over 15 years and both of these books were a blessing.
I have the Lyman and the ABC's of reloading, great books. A good manual to get a hold of is either the Sierra manual or the Nosler manual. Actually they are all good, just get the manual for the maker of the bullets you're going to shoot.
As someone stated earliler, don't discount the internet. Ammosmith on youtube is really good.
