Step up from 6.5 cm for deer / elk / mule

Got a smokin deal on a second bergara in 6.5 cm. That said, I really dont need two of the same caliber. Id really like to have something suitable for whitetail and the every other year elk & mule hunt. Was thinking possibly Barrett Fieldcraft in 30-06 or CA Mesa in 7mm.

The 6.5 Creed is plenty for all of those, but if you want something else, get it, you don't need an excuse.

Great questions... if you like the accuracy, velocity and performance of the 6.5 then go 7mm as it will perform most similar over the 06. Both are great hunting cartridges and will suit you fine. It really comes down to the distances you'll be shooting and personal preference.
