Are Steyr receivers pretty much the same dimensionally, like various versions of the Remington 700, or do the different models use differently sized receivers?
I need a Steyr SL .222 (sic)receiver for a photo project. A Steyr SL is more $$$ than I want to spend for a simple project that does not require a working gun. Is there another, cheaper Steyr model that is identical to the SL (receiver) spec and dimension wise that I can use as a lower cost substitute? It does not have to be an SL nor does it need to be .222 cal.
