I shot a couple hundred rounds today with my Steyr Zephyr II. I have had this rifle for about 1.5 years. I shot 50 rounds of Fed GM Ultra Match, Eley Edge, Eley Club and 25 rounds of Eley Tenex Pistol and Eley Match. All were shot with the Sparrow suppressor. Tenex Pistol and Match was shot last and it was getting dark and I wanted to get both rounds in so I only shot 25 each, normally I shoot 50 at a plate. The rifle as shown weighs no more than 8 lbs, it's not an easy one to shoot from the bench especially with its narrow forearm. Trigger is about 2 lb.
I see some people questioning themselves about cleaning their rifles and getting bad accuracy results afterwards. Well the groups below were shot with a dirty barrel, I have no idea how many rounds has been through it since the last cleaning. Tomorrow I will take borescope photos before and after cleaning and then shoot the same ammo in the same order as I did today. No fouling shots, straight from clean to shoot. We will see what difference the cleaning made on this Zephyr II. Of course, the only thing this will prove is how cleaning affected this rifle. It will still be good knowledge for myself and everyone else. Of course some of you may not give a shit LOL, and that's alright too.
BTW, that rail is my spare just for times like this. I'm doing some scope swapping.
