Hey there I’m building a late mk13 mod 5 , and im
Trying to decide between the stiller mk13 action or a getting a trued r700 , I have no experience with stiller , I would like to know how are they are , how smooth they are and ergonomic , just want to see what the pros are from first hand experience. Thanks

Why just those two?

Normally truing an R700 is a poor value proposition. It's been a few years since I've handled a Stiller, but I've never been impressed. While "feel" is a horrible way to quantity an action, they always felt gritty to me. Perhaps the current Stiller's are better.

I would look at Bighorn Origin, Defiance Tenacity, and Kelbly actions myself.

Thomas beat me to it.

I’ve never found stillers to warrant the price personally and don’t know very many people that had them and still run them. The only two I’ve ever handled i didn’t care for and their QC always seemed to bit hit or miss. I could be wrong and maybe it’s changed.

I also wouldn’t buy a 700 and work it up. i started out with a 700 and lost my ass on it when i sold it. It’s a waste of time and money in this age. Less you’re doing the work yourself.

Grab a Bighorn Origin, defiance tenacity, Alamo APR, etc. or step up to a defiance ruckus, impact 737, lone peak fusion etc.

Probably because he is doing a mk13 mod 5 clone and those were the two actions used. I am debating the same thing for my mod 5 build. I am leaning towards the Stiller because I don't want to spend the money on this build to just end up with a rem 700 in a chassis.

They’re both a waste IMO just for the sake of going clone correct. But of the two I’d go probably lean stiller.

Correct I realize there are much better actions available and cheaper actions , however I’m building a mod 5 clone and these are the only 2 correct lowers. So I’m looking for a comparison between the 2

That makes sense, first sentence and I still missed it.
