Did this for a fellow hider. Stock came to me is pretty sorry shape, after the finish the gunsmith had painted on the stock, had been sanded off. These stocks leave Manners in immaculate condition. The pinholes, deep, deep scratches, and it had been sanded down to to the fabric of the shell of the stock. I filled all the holes, built up where I had to build up so the fabric wouldn't come through, make the stock look brand new, and then throw a camo on it. The metal rail on the bottom, and the posts on the cheek were all cerakoted black, and the tubb adjustable butt was painted on the bare metal on the insides as I knew the customer would have he plates all apart, and cockeyed. I thought vare metal would look really weird if I didn't spray it.
The stock came out like solid gold, it looks great, and the camo came out nicely.
I need a name for this pattern. Would love to hear suggestions!
If you have a stock that you've thought about doing a camo, but look at the stock and think "why pay for a camo for this turd?", well because I can fix 'em and get back to almost new condition. Email or PM me if restoring a stock is of any interest to you.
