Just sent two new 22 mag Savage BRJ's out for threading to ADCO... range report to follow.
Me and some buddies are planning a prarie dog trip in the near future and getting the gear prepped for it. The new rimfire savage line looks quite cool.
We decided to go with 22 mag over 17 HMR because i thought that it would be a little more callable with wind drift than the super light 17s. I also decided to go with the 40 grain CCI maxi mag rather than the 30gr for a little extra long range punch...
It was a total swag of a guess based on logic and nothing else. Anyway i'll write a range report later, it will mostly be oriented towards the Adco thread job. Ive had great experiences with them in the past and am sure this will be no different. The last thing i had them thread for me was a CZ452 and it had virtually no POI shift with our checkmate suppressor series, i was impressed not only with the concentricity of threading but also the minimal POI shift of the checkmate suppressor.
I'll be using the checkmate line on these 22 mags as well, along with falcon 4-14 FFP MIl/MIL scopes with the ML16 reticles, burris XTR low rings, and a BRM-S pod locked bipod
Should be a winning combination. More to follow...
If anyone has feedback on the BRj's let me know, thanks
