I have several nice long range scopes, including Burris, Nikon FX1000, Vortex PST and two strike eagles in 3-18 and 4-24. They actually stack up pretty to to the PST for the price range. These scopes just came out in 2018 and were soon discontinued, does anyone know the reason why.

I can only speculate, but my guess is they weren't selling well. "FFP," "MRAD," and a tree reticle were missing from the sales brochure on a riflescope marketed as tactical. Vortex didn't make that mistake with the Diamondback Tactical FFP, which appears to be selling well.

I have one 3-18x44 and three 4-24x50 Strike Eagle scopes. All are on various 22 rimfires. All work as they should and at $299 from Eurooptic it's a deal that can't be beat IMO. For my rimfires they fit the bill perfect, MOA adjustments and 2nd focal plane. For the price/performance I should buy two more for $299.

I just ordered a 4-24, because I had a 3-18 at one point. I love them for the price. Nice lightweight with illumination makes for a decent utility scope. The turret adjustments are far better than the diamondback tactical, which is why I can't get by with it, not to mention lack of a rev indicator on the diamondback.

I am seriously considering the Vortex Strike Eagle 3-18X44 for a 6mm ARC build pretty soon. For a general purpose scope that is reasonably priced for hunting and varmints, it looks good to me.
