Stuck/Broken Decapping & Expander Ball?

Finally got around to removing a stuck case yesterday. LC Match 30-06 in a Redding Premium (carbide expander) non-bushing die.

The case pulled free but the expander ball and the decapping pin (I think) are still stuck in the case.

Is this broken or is this normal? This was my first stuck case. I had to drill/tap the case with the decapper still inside as I couldn't pull it through the case neck while the case was stuck in the die. I just backed it out as far as I could prior to drilling/tapping.

Looks like the explainer is threaded onto the stem. I don’t think it is broken, just needs to be screwed back on to the stem. Cut the case open to retrieve the die parts.

I'd drive that expander down into the case and then cut the end of case off with a Dremel.
