Please explain to me how in he!! Biden can keep cancelling student loans after the Supreme court clearly said it is illegal?
How is this not a crime?

The cancellations have come through existing federal student loan forgiveness programs, which are limited to specific categories of borrowers, such as public-sector workers, people defrauded by for-profit colleges, and borrowers who have paid for at least 20 years.

These programs are separate from the rejected forgiveness plan, which would have canceled about $430 billion of the $1.6 trillion of outstanding federal student loan debt all at one time.

This may be a legitimate reason to forgive certain student loans. I'm sure you've seen the commercial during daytime TV to get some sort of degree. Many of these "institutions" lost their accreditation a few years ago for fraud. If you're not aware, they intentionally recruited students to get them student loans in order to make huge profits for their "schools".

What rubs me the wrong way is I had to pay into the GI Bill to get it when I was in the Army. And now I get to pay other people's loan debt. I didn't take a loan, I worked/ served to go to college. It's just wrong.

Your first sentence was correct. No matter what BS people are given, they should ultimately be responsible for their own actions.

The issue is easy to resolve:

• First not everyone goes to college
• Bring shop class back to high schools
• Fund trade schools the same way we do colleges
• Public campaign to rebuilt the esteem of learning and maintaining a trade. Working with your hands is a high calling. Society needs and respects you.
• Deport illegals and shut down the border.

Colleges receiving college funds either directly or indirectly through student loans:

• Cut admin staff by 70% or become ineligible
• Use endowments towards helping students in need before federal funds. Places like Harvard should not need the public’s money.
• Move to a mostly online remote course load
• Stipulate what majors/courses are elible for federal monies. No funding gender studies. Likewise if you want a masters in theology, hit your church up.
• Schools that discriminate against white men lose all funding including loans.
• Unfinished degrees are exempt from any loan forgiveness or other help. If you just go to circle jerk you pay your freight.

The big problem with college (like healthcare) is the outrageous cost coupled with top heavy administrations receiving outrageous pay.

Now I’m no expert on this subject. That said, if I somehow found myself in a DOGE meeting these are the ideas I would throw out at the proverbial wall to see if they are al dente…..
