Has anyone have experience with shooting subsonic loads through an AK and was it able to cycle reliably with a suppressor on. Ive read that some kinds work and some don't, also read when using a heavier grain like 150 helps give it enough push to cycle. Your advise is much appreciated

Based on experiences with 300 BLK, I don't see it happening. Not with 150's anyways. Your best chance would be with a 200+ grain bullet and magnum pistol powder, such as AA1680, which is used in the BLK. Even then, the gas port is probably not ideal and would probably need to be drilled out a bit. You also have to consider the twist rate necessary to stabilize a 200+ grain bullet. I don't know what the twist is in an AK, but I doubt it's any faster than 1 in 10.
If you want quiet, you may not want the rifle to cycle anyways. Load up some 150's or 174's, 180's etc over suitable pistol powder and manually cycle the bolt. Easier to cycle a "side-charging" AK vs. an AR15 anyways.

I think most AKs have between a 1-10 and 1-8 barrel twist. My .308 could handle the 175s with a 1-10, so I would think you could get lucky with even 220s or at least 200s in the AK. Try it out. I know that EBR made some 220gr 7.62x39 subs that were supposed to cycle the action. Although as said above, the action on an AK is hella-loud, and may rustle your tactically quiet jimmies.

I guess I would have to just test some loads with different gr bullet I have heard nothing but terrible accuracy with 200+ gr likely because it doesn't stabilize but only one way to find out. Charging the handle defeats the purpose of semi auto it wouldn't be just as fun but is really cool though
