Rifle Scopes suggestions for a dot center or open center reticle in MOA

I'm looking for a scope with either a dot for a center aim point or open center in MOA with at least 25x mag on the top end, would prefer a little more if possible. I know the Vortex Razor has a open center and had a chance to look through a buddy's, and thought it was nice but wondered if there is any other options out there that you guys know of. I really like the idea of 7-35 range on the Night force ATACR 7-35x56 F1 but just don't think I am going to like the cross for the center aiming point in there MOA reticle.

Not quite as much magnification as you wanted but the reticle and open center dot fill the basic idea. I'm like you - I prefer a center dot to a cross with higher magnification and just purchsed an Athlon Argos BTR 10-40X56...which is SFP but I love the extra magnification and the reticle blows my mind.

My ATACR H59 has an awesome center dot for small aiming. I absolutely love it. If you like the H59 or not is the big question. I was making hits with my KAC ACC .308 yesterday out at 333/445/550/650 and never touched my turret.
Personal preference, but it certainly has the dot.

Have you looked at the S&B Hunting reticles

I did look at there offerings on there websight a bit. From everything I read about S&B they sound great for quality and reputation! I like the look of the LRR-MIL but there again it is in MIL and not MOA. Would like to be able to dial for elevation and hold for wind corrections if necessary and with the hunting reticles I like the dot but there is no hash marks for wind holds unless I over looked one.

That is on par with the retical I am looking for! I haven't been around athlon scopes at all. Is there quality up to par with S&B, night force, and Vortex?At its price point would it reliably track and zero? I currently have a Leupold MK 4 and I was having some tracking problems. I sent it in to Leupold and they reworked it which was awesome. I haven't had a chance to try it out again but I am sure it is fine with them fixing it. It has been a great scope for me, just looking for my next scope to be a step above my current Leupold MK4.

I just bought and I'm mounting an Athlon Argos BTR 10-40X56 and I'll be checking the tracking....my Brother shoots Vortex high end optics and my Nephew runs Nightforce optics and I'll have to tell you that my $400ish Athlon is not quite as good in terms of glass as the high end NF and Vortex stuff. It is *amazing* in that a <$400 scope looks 90% as good as scopes costing 3-4X as much with no perceptible CA even at 40X. Turrets are crisp and an audible click and the numbers line up perfectly with the indicator. I'd never begin to hold a lower end Athlon on par with a high end NF or Vortex but I looked and found that Athlon was an awful lot of bang for the $ for a guy like me who does not hunt nor shoot competitively yet is holding his own with folks (gun buddies, range friends) who *do* hunt and compete.

My only point is to look at Athlon after assessing your objectives and pocketbook. As for as tracking goes I have not experienced/tested that but will when the weather warms up. The build quality, fit/finish, glass clarity on my new Athlon is stunning at the price point I paid for it.
