Suggestions on tweaking magazine feed lips

I have a match tomorrow and would like to run my Valkyrie. I'm trying to adjust the feed lips on my AICS mag with primal rights kit but seems like no matter how I adjust the nose of the follower stays up and only the rear slides down into the mag as pictured. Any suggestions?

on the bottom of the follower, how is the spring attached?

if it's not rivets, and is a screw - you can loosen the screw and move the spring forward/back depending which way the follow keeps tilting.

so move the spring back toward the back of the magazine and it should put more pressure on the back of the follower.

try that

edit: it's a primal rights kit - so it should have the screw

2nd option - which should be last ditch effort but has worked for me.

you cut the bottom spring leg in half, and that also changes the direction of force applied

it's a pain in the ass. i'll give you that.

First method worked. Thanks, I'm new to this and wouldn't have ever even considered that.

I just went through this a few weeks ago with my 6br and mag kits.

another shooter/friend told me about moving the follower. works like a charm

ive had to slightly tweak the feed lips on every metal mag i've owned.

there's only so many follower kits available and they aren't cheap.

if he got it to work - why would he do that?

It's a 308 mag holding a Valkyrie case...you have to tweak the feed lips or the spring tension will pop the rounds out.

I've seen plenty of people fuck up the mag by screwing with the lips. I'll confess I've yet to jump on the Valk bandwagon, 308 mags the only option for that case?

For now. AICS mags with Primal Kits or modded MDT mags from C&H Precision. Feeding alright today from my magpul aics 5 rounder.
