    Hello everyone,
I am currently on my last year of college to earn my bachelors in Business Administration, and have been trying to find an internship opportunity in the firearm industry. This seems to be almost impossible, I am willing to work remote or possibly travel. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Cold call every HR department and see what can happen. I'd be in a hurry, this is the time that most college students start looking for their internship. Don't forget t o check out accessory companies. They utilize the firearm industry for many of their R&D efforts. Send a Summer there and maybe they can help you get that job with a manufacturer.

What part of the country are you looking for employment? I know you can't afford to travel to some areas due to the cost of living.

    Hi,

There damn near impossible in regards to true "Internships" because they pretty much do not exist due to the fact that most States do not provide the tax breaks for firearm industry companies when it comes to internships that they do to other companies.

No tax break but all the handholding of new employees with 1 other big downside.....Companies do not like to spend all the time training, etc etc for someone they now will be leaving.......especially since they get no tax breaks, workers comp breaks, etc etc.

Here is a good place to judge the industry employment opportunities though...although NONE are internships.

    Hello,
First, I would like to say thank you for helping me out.
I feel that I would be a good candidate for working in the firearm industry not just because it is my passion but I also already have 4 years of experience selling and working around firearms. I am a very hard worker who strives to complete my job to my fullest ability. I am the individual you call when you want a task completed the right way the first time.

I am great with customer service, and have a business oriented background. I am completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration this summer. I am looking to get my feet wet and really see what this industry is about. I have a resume ready to send out upon request, and would love to talk to anyone one over the phone about an opportunity.

This is the field of work that I will work in and cannot wait to get started.

    Sincerely Tyler Beggs,

If I were in your position...... I would contact the BIGGEST (most employees) manufacturers in each discipline of firearms first. Barrels, stocks, silencers, optics, ammunition, etc. The one's that actually have HR departments. ... Let them mull over your resume as you work your way down to the Mom and Pop shops.....

    Suggestions:
    Leupold
    Remington
    Thunder Beast
    Savage
    Kimber
    Kreiger Barrels
    Ruger

    Best of luck.
