So i only have a 308 can atm. Would I be ok running a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 thread adapter to run my 308 can on a 5.56?

Yes. That’s what I did for a while running a TBAC Ultra 9 until I recently got my Saker

check alignment

Pay attention to what barrel length is rated for on 556

Pay attention to the heat buildup if not rate for full auto etc

check to make sure it doesn’t loosen while firing

A guy in the PX is selling some for $26 or $28. Check the accessories section. Mine I think are YHM but not sure what I paid. Bought a few years ago

Yup I do that on my 5.56 AR and bolt guns, as well as my 22-250. Precision Armament is what I use.
