Trying to figure out which would be a good suppressor for my use. I currently have a 308 and 223 (semi-auto), and a 7mm-08 (bolt gun) on the way. They 308 and 7mm-08 will have 5/8x24 threads where the 223 has a YHM flash hider (not sure what the thread is). I want a can that has good accuracy, do most do well with accuracy? Even though I don't currently have a 300 wm, it might not be a bad idea to have one rated for its use (thinking of the future). Would a QD system be best because of the difference with the 223, or is a direct thread better for accuracy? I've been drawn to the Thunder Beast from what I have looked at recently. Not sure if the 30BA or 30P-1 would better suit me.

What are some of the cans you guys would pick for my application along with pros and cons?

From talking with a couple guys that shoot alot with suppressors they have found the Yankee Hill Titanium has had the best results for POI shift between suppressed and unsuppressed. They run them with the YHM QD so that they can swap between rifles. I am not sure if its rated for 300WM or not.

The other one I was looking into a lot as well was the YHM, but it's not rated for the 300 wm. Not a big deal for what I have currently, but for a grand might as well think of the future :) Thunder Beast is looking like my huckleberry. Anyone care to weigh in on the 30P-1 vs. the 30BA? Is one preferrable over the other and why? I know having the QD will cost a little more to set up.

I would go with the Thunderbeast. They are great cans and are very accurate. The BA would be a good option since you have rifles that you want to suppress the have different threads. It's a little more upfront but sending rifles off to have the thread pattern changed can get pricy.

Send an email to Zak Smith of TBAC. He is a great resource and will tell you all the in's and out's of the QD v the direct thread.

In terms of the future....get the "best" can you can for your purposes.
