I took my 10/22 and had threaded so i could shoot my suppressor on it and it wont shoot for shit now. Changed the POI abt 5 inches and groups were terrible. Before the suppressor it would shoot dime sized groups at 50 yds. It still will if I screw the suppressor off and I have shot the suppressor on other pistols and rifle with no ill effects. Any idea what could be causing this?

In my usage, I've noticed that monocores and K-baffles behave differently. My monocore .22 YHM Mite will shift POI several inches laterally, and a heavy (mostly stainless), K-baffle Huntertown Arms Guardian brings the POI down an inch. My titanium Huntertown .22 cans don't seem to change POI. Also, that monocore opens up groups a bit where my K-baffles suppressors don't.
So long as the threads were cut straight and concentric to the bore, which in all likelihood they are, could just be a case where the can is really dickin' with that barrel's harmonics.
Was you barrel free-floated before? If yes, check that you still have adequate clearance now that you've put a weight on the end, especially if it's a skinny barrel.

Also just to play devils advocate here look closely at the exit hole of the can. It should just be evenly coated with carbon and lead, light grey, if there's a faint line running down the wall of the bore. Baffle strike.

What they said... My first guess would be that something is not lining up properly. Also, on my MKII, if I shoot a lot with the can on, I get deposits on the crown that will eventually mess with accuracy - have to clean it off every now and then,,,

I had this exact issue with my suppressor on my CZ455 build. It shot awesome without the can, but it was terrible with it on. I tried everything (including sending the suppressor back to the manufacturer to have it inspected). The suppressor shot great on other rifles, so it turned out the “gunsmith” didn’t thread the barrel correctly. The thread pitch allowed the suppressor to wobble slightly and it affected accuracy.

A temporary fix was to use a rubber o-ring between the shoulder and the suppressor. In the end, I ended up trashing the barrel and getting a new one.

If if you have another 22 to try the suppressor on, I’d try that first.

Mine is a YHM can. I have tried it on another rifle with no issues. It is a green man fluted bull barrel which has been a really good shooter for me. The gunsmith that threaded my barrel has done a lot of work for me including building me a custom rifle and he does great work. I cant tell the threads are off at all but I will give the o ring a try. The barrel is floated and the action bedded. I can take the can off and it shoots great.

Yes. My Smith is well-known but didn’t use Class 3A threads and the can was loose and caused the group to go from .2 at 50 yards to 5 inches.
