did a search and found nothing. many different makes and styles but what are the pros and cons of them?

Yeah they keep the mirage down but they trap heat in, does that effect the muffler in anyway?

Do you run one, tell me why you do or don't?

Thanks.

I have an Armageddon gear suppressor cover. Keeps the heat coming from the suppressor from interfering with my sight picture. I take it off after the range session to let the can cool down.
The Ultra 7 has over 4 thousand rounds thru it with the suppressor cover on except when Im using the Magnetospeed to chrono the rounds. It still shoots sub moa with the AI as long as I do my part with the fundamentals.

I run ColeTac covers, I use them for mirage mitigation during shoots. I’m not worried about heat retention since I’m not really shooting more than 10-15rds top per stage, then there is plenty of time to cool.
You’ll notice a huge difference in mirage after a couple shots if you’re not running a cover.
I only run a cover on my hard use cans on my SBRs if I’m doing more dynamic work that involves transitions to sidearms or something similar that might result in my can touching my body in some fashion.

I use Rifles Only HAD covers. They do a nice job with mirage (essentially no mirage) and you can handle the suppressor without gloves after prolonged shot strings.

Two are on suppressors for ARs and a third is used on a bolt gun.

I use a Rifles Only HAD as well. Primarily I use this cover on a bolt gun. Even after a hot string of fire I’ve yet to see mirage. If you follow directions as far as tying off your heat-resistant cord, your can won’t walk on you either.

I’ve been using this cover for over a year & I've got no complaints. I’ve had no issues w/ the cord burning, etc. I’d would definitely buy a HAD again.

Ill put our insulator(high temp cover) up against any one on the market. Kevlar cord and thread, aerospace and carbon fiber insulation, no paracord!

Rifles only here too. They are great additions that keep mirage down, that's the main reason I use them. They do keep heat trapped in, but my can is full auto rated, so keeping in a little heat for me is not a concern. They also protect the can a little bit too. I've dropped my accidentally and the cover prevented any surface finish wear.

This may be a dumb question. I just got my first suppressor so i am new to this. Is there a noticeable difference between your insulated and non insulated cover when used on a bolt gun shooting slower rates?
All dependent on conditions and what your interpretation of slow fire is. To me the extra $ is well worth the extra insulation. Suppressors get really hot, even with slow fire. If you are doing the shoot one and let the barrel completely cool maybe not, but what fun is that?!

Thanks for clarifying. And no cooling completely between shots. Definitely looking to go with an insulated cover.

Any big sales in the near future?

We don’t usually run much of a sale on these as the materials are really expensive and the margins are pretty low.
