I have Armageddon Gear suppressor wraps on a 762 Socom and a 338 Surefire can with no issues. I slide the cover down to secure/release the collars. Never had one come loose.
I have a bunch of them in all sorts of configurations without any rachet release issues. I also employ a lanyard system to absolutely prevent the possibility of the the cover moving forward into the muzzle blast zone. The lanyard is tensioned by twisting the cover about the suppressor. The SOCOM's seem particularly slippery and I believe I can tighten the paracord as tight as anyone else. It's one less thing to worry about. Just my experience. Examples of a few setups.
