I plan to buy my first suppressor this week. My .308 is already threaded and ready for a suppressor. I also have a 7mm RM that I shoot some and a AR in .223 that I might want to thread for suppressor.

Question is I am looking at the Thunderbeast 30P-1 and the AAC Cyclone or Cylone K. I want direct thread on no QD. I am just thinking should I save on my first can and get one just for the .308 and the .223 or go ahead and drop the coin on the TB 30P-1 that can be used on all three.

I just don't know if I should spend that much on one can or put the money saved on buying the less expensive, Cyclone and put towards saving for another suppressor to dedicate to another rifle. Is a suppressed 7mmRM even worth it? I have never had the chance to hear one that was suppressed. I would guess it would be about the same as a .308 but unsure.

I know this is something I will ultimately have to decide for myself, but just thought you guys might have some input that would help me decide.

Thanks

I have heard great things about the TBAC 30P-1. I just pulled the trigger on one last week. Cant wait to try it for myself. I'll be using it on my 6x47 , 6.5x47, and 7WSM.

Zak and I shot a match this weekend. He shot his 30P-1 on a AI chambered in 7 Rem Mag. There were also 30P-1s being shot on 260s, 7WSM and 300 WSMs that I saw.
Zaks rig sounded very good

I shoot all my .30 cal. cans on my 7mm Rem Mag and they all sound great! However, you should check with each manufacturer before using them on a magnum - some will be rated up to .300 WM, SOME WON'T! I have an SRT Shadow .338LM TI that is my fav., but my .30 cal. AWC Thundertrap is great too. There is an AAC Titan in my future also. I had the chance to "try before ya buy" at my local dealer's, and I have to say, I was impressed. I have 5 other AAC cans, and love all of them! You can't go wrong with either manufacturer in my opinion. Anyway, my 7 Rem. Mag. sounds about the same as my .308. YMMV, but I am a fan of dedicated suppressors for each rifle. As with most things, you tend to get what you pay for with suppressors. My advice is to work your way around and find folks who have the products you are interested in, (and all others you may not have considered) and see if you can tag along to the range and "experience" them. Make an informed purchase, with reasonable expectations. Don't expect "movie quiet" unless you're shooting at a Unicorn. As always, buy once, cry once applies.

I'll start with I am a class III dealer. I'm not trying to sell you anything. I have a TBAC 30P1. It is outstanding. It is on a dedicated rifle. You will not be u happy with anything you get from them, quality all the way and superior customer service. I also have a a 223A, on a Troy 7.5' upper. It's the only can i've found that is rated for under 10.5". AAC is another option that is quality, I sell a lot of them and get a lot of positive feed back. YHM is a good product, that is at a lower price point and will work on multiple calibers. There .30 cal will work any .30 cal and smaller, up to and including A 300 win mag. It also drops dbl up to 32 at the muzzle. They are not as flashy or get the press of AAC or KAC, but they do the job. I have 4 of there products 45, 5.56 SS Phantom, 7.62 SS phantom, and a .22 Mite. I'm very happy for the price point and it is a way to get in to the silencer ring with out dropping a load of cash. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me at [email protected].

+1 for YHM. Lined up with 8 other rifles at a night shoot it was tied for the best muzzle flash hiding, you literally could not see a bit of flame come out the muzzle.

It also sounded as good or better than the rest, and there were a few $1500+ cans lined up. You dont get the "tingy" sound that some titaniums give you, the Tbac was the best titanium can there by far.

And as he said, it will work on anything you can shoot through the 30 cal hole. I even put a few 30rd mags of full auto 5.56 through it with no issues except a smoking TAB cover (dumbass me didnt think to take it off).
