Suppressor Sleeve? What is this?

Guess I should add the AFT says it is included in the OAL of the barrel IF it is permanently attached by one of their approved methods

That was my thought. Have a company like aadco thread the barrel and extend the threads an extra half inch or so. weld a nut at the base of the shroud, pin and weld the shroud to the barrel, then slip the suppressor through the shroud and plink away.

Anyone have a link for a product like this? Not seeing it on the tacsol website.

That's a barrel for the 10/22.

I'm just looking for a "fake suppressor" I can pin and weld and slide a real suppressor into. If that makes sense.

I rarely shoot unsuppressed and have no need for an unsuppressed SBR. If I can set up a couple of rifles with suppressor receptacles that can be pinned/welded to reach 16" and then swap suppressors between them that'd be pretty sweet. It'd be even cooler if I could keep them vented like the larue shroud. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer and I've burned myself more than once....

Lightweight, heat protection, screw the man out of $200 and save myself a bunch of time...

It’s amazing how creative people are. And it’s all because of lame ass laws put in place. Definitely gets people thinking outside the box. I doubt we would have half the innovation out there if it were not for the stupid laws in place.
