Suppressors Supressed Ruger 22 pistols

I can't do a pic just yet (waiting on the ATF) but I've got a Ruger 22/45 Lite. Waiting on the stamp for a Huntertown Arms Guardian can. I have shot it with the demo can and it's pretty damned good. Hoping to get the stamp back before deer season so I can thin the tree rat numbers while waiting on bambi to show up.

Supressed Ruger 22 pistols

Ruger 22/45 pre Mark III with tac sol pac lite 4.5" upper, thunderbeast 22L-1 titanium suppressor. This is a very light and accurate package. Suppressor is FDE to match my precision trainer. Also very quiet. Even bulk pack are subsonic.

22/45 Lite MkIII, Volquartsen internals, VZ grips, extended mag release, Burris Fast Fire III on a dovetail mount and a Gemtech Outland IID.
Yeah, this silly thing is one hell of a money pit, it also hasn't been fired unsuppressed since it left Ruger

Ruger 22/45

Ruger 22/45 with Tac Sol 4" Pac Lite barrel and Clark internals. Suppressor is a SRT Commanche which I also run on a .17 HMR. Although not a Ruger, the pistol in the rear is a Browning Buckmark Sillouette with barrel shortened and fitted with a SilencerCo Sparrow.

Capt, think about how much $$$ you save in ammo compared their big brothers. These money pits will surely pay for themselves by the time our grand kids get them. You gotta think positive! I am at the point where my grand kids are pretty well armed!

For those that have them - how does the SRT sound compared to a Spectre II or a Sparrow? FRP? Follow ups? How do you feel now about not being able to take it apart?

ps - I have the basic 22/45 (factory threaded) with a Sparrow. I like it, but I do not like the FRP and it does not feed shorts (wish they made a mag with a block for this)

My SRT Comanche sounds about the same as my Sparrow. The FRP is about the same, maybe a little less. The Comanche is a can that can be disassembled where you can clean the individual stainless baffles. The Sparrow is much easier to clean though. I put a thin coat of anti-seize on the internals of both cans and it makes them much easier to clean.

Do you need anymore pictures than that?^^^ that thing is sweet. I have a buck mark set up almost the same as Zak's and it makes the perfect weapon for a bail out bag.

My SRT Cheyenne XXL is a long .22 can. Zilcho FRP. Super quiet every shot with HV or subs. I cannot say compared to Spectre II or Sparrow, but compared to a couple other cans, it's easily the best in my opinion.

I took a long look at the XXL for a bolt rifle but passed in the end in favor of a Sparrow in part because (my understanding is they are sealed). I would like one (or other very high volume rimfire can) in the future.

Damn! It totally blows living in Kalifornia! I want a can for my Mark II... :(

Move! You are missing out.

Yes, except for the Comanche, SRT cans are sealed. And so the debate goes on...

My SRT Comanche is not sealed. The front endcap unscrews and comes with the spanner wrench to remove it. The Comanche is rated for .17 HMR and has stainless baffles. The rest of SRT's cans are sealed units.

Older ruger 22/45. Modified the frame so I could put the hogue wrap around 1911 grips and replaced the front sight with a fiber optic. On the end is my AAC EVO 9. About a year ago I took the can apart so it could be cleaned. The EVO 9 is quieter than my YHM mite even though it's a larger bore.
