Anyone using the Surefire Scout 600 Intelibeam? Seems like a great feature but wondering if it’s worth it over the dual fuel which comes with the rechargeable battery and puts out considerably more lumen. Will be going on a suppressed SBR.
I went with the 640DF on my SBR recently after previously running a Streamlight HL-X and an older Surefire 600 before that. I wanted the adjustable mount so I could tuck the light close under the head of my IR illuminator and still keep it in the right position for thumb activation with the tailcap. I've been really happy with it, and anything that can run off an 18650 is a win in my book.

I was going to steer clear of the mount that swings, is it solid? Marine proof? May get the tail switch cord. I’ve worked hard to keep the rifle ambidextrous and shoot left handed to begin with. The tail activation switch seemed like a good idea.

I'm not sure ANYTHING is marine-proof, but the mount is surprisingly solid. Just make sure the through bolt that acts as the hinge is good and snug once you have it dialed in.
I haven't used a SF remote switch in a long time, as I prefer thumb activation. That said, I have never had an issue with them i the past, and there's now tons of aftermarket options if you decide you want something different.
I run the 600DF on my work rifle. I run the Surefire dual switch tail cap that has both a remote switch and tail cap. I can use the button on the tail cap with my strong side thumb or used the pressure switch at the 12 o'clock position with either hand. https://www.surefire.com/products/flashlight-accessories/switches/ds-sr07
