Well maybe I'm out of line and maybe I'm just crying online. Just being honest here.
I traded my Larue UDE plus cash for his AT. He asked for pictures and I sent him pictures of everything and told him where some small scratches were that he might not see in the pictures. He was like oh how deep and etc but he wanted it. I laid everything I had with the rifle in the pictures but he kept asking for more. He was like where's the rail pieces, pic rail and etc. I Iaid out everything I got with the rifle as I bought it used. He seemed overly knowledgeable about Larue products and what comes with them. I told him how I took off the factory muzzle brake and it didn't look so hot.
This is where I share some of the blame, I assumed since he asked so many questions and I offered all the correct information that he was sending a near new rifle with factory parts. I tried to get him to discount the rifle and take off his "extras" but he didn't want to. When I received the rifle it didn't have the pic rail that goes on the forend. He said since I wanted the spigot that he didn't send it to me.
The ad states the barrel was barely used so I incorrectly assumed the rifle was barely used. He used it in competitions and beat up the forend. The muzzle brake was beat to hell, I don't know how you do that and now I'm honestly worried about how many rounds are through the barrel.
When I approach him about this he cusses and says my rifle is dirty, maybe the receiver and bolt but the barrel was stored oiled as are all my rifle I don;t shoot much. He knows I shot it suppressed so it naturally accumulates more gunk. Also he was like well you didn't tell me about the scratches around the area where the scope mount goes. You can see that clearly in the pictures if you look and it's pretty natural for it to be like that when you mount an optic.
Also we both agreed to ship on Monday which he didn't but I did. I paypal his cash the Friday before. My FFL then proceeds to not be home to receive package twice in a row and then leaves for spring break. Maybe he would have been there to receive it Wednesday if seller shipped it when promised, who knows. So seller reroutes the package to another FFL and tells me to send him $75 to do so. I'm not going to complain at that moment as I don't want the rifle going back to TN and back to TX. More damage, more risk of loss and same for him too. I know he doesn't want to file a claim if something happens.
Turns it it costs maybe $15 to reroute the package. When I confronted OP about this after I received my rifle he was like why you bringing it up now? Well because I want my rifle first and foremost before anything happens. Then he tells me well I never told you it costs $75, he charged me for his time.
Well I'm out a pic rail and $60. We both have had numerous successful transactions here but little things matter. Maybe I'll get beatdown for this but I just rather save someone else any hassle.
